Statutory Financial Statements

Every company must prepare statutory financial statements that report on the performance and activities of the company during its financial year.  The type of financial statements to be prepared will be dependent on the size of the company (primarily measured by Turnover, Balance Sheet Total and Employee Numbers), in some cases, abbreviated financial statements will suffice.

Once the financial statements have been prepared and approved by the Board of Directors, they must then be filed at Companies House within 9 months of the financial year end (6 months for a plc.).

At Plant & Co we operate a computerised service using the latest accountancy software and have qualified, dedicated staff available to prepare your statutory financial statements. Whether you maintain your own bookkeeping records or have assigned us to provide that service for you already, we would be happy to prepare your statutory financial statements and ensure they are filed at Companies House well before the deadline and are fully compliant with the latest statutory requirements.

What is included in this service?

  • Upload of accounting records to financial statements preparation software
  • Preparation of accounts to include Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and related Notes to the accounts
  • Discussions with you regarding the contents of the financial statements and explanations as to the Director’s    responsibilities relating thereto
